David Lee Green, 65, of Canonsburg, formerly of Chartiers Township, passed away on Sunday, January 31, 2016 in the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System H. J. Heinz Campus, Aspinwall.
He was born on January 15, 1951 in Canonsburg, a son of the late Clemith A. and Doris B. Bradley Green.
David was a graduate of Chartiers-Houston High School and the California University of Pennsylvania, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in English. He proudly served his country with the United States Air Force during Vietnam from 1972-1975.
Surviving are two sisters, Norma (Vincent) Pitzarella of Finleyville and Margaret “Peggy” (Jerry) Suarez of Linden Creek, Michigan; two brothers, Glen (Esther) Green of Fayette City and John Green of Raritan, New Jersey; four nephews, Michael Thomassy, Robert Thomassy, Gareth Suarez, and David Justin Green; a niece, Shari Suarez; and several great nieces and nephews.
Private services and interment, with full military honors rendered by the VFW Post 191 Honor Guard, will be in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Township.
