David E. Cox

David E. Cox age 66, of Canonsburg died Friday, November 14, 2008 at 12:25am in Washington County Health Center.
He was born February 18, 1942, in Canonsburg, the son late Harry A. and Margaret A. Marlett Cox.
Mr. Cox was manager for Spar Market and later for McMurray Dairy Bar.
He lived most of his life in the Muse and Canonsburg areas.
Mr. Cox was Presbyterian by faith.
He was member of Muse Independent Club which he bowled with for over 40 years.
Mr. Cox was an avid Steeler Fan and avid sports fan.
He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend to all he knew.
On September 4, 1965 he married Frances M. Cox, who survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Alice Marie (Mitchelle) Wimert and Kimberliy Jo (Kevin) Patterson both of Washington; five grandchildren, Zachary, Joshua and Emily Wimert, Kayla and Kevin, Jr. Patterson; brother, Harry A. (Dolores) Cox, Jr. of Elyria, Ohio; sister, Diana Cochran of Germantown, Maryland; and niece, Pamela (Eric) Miller.
Deceased is daughter, Michelle Renee Cox born and died on January 3, 1967.
Friends will be received on Sunday, November 16, 2008 from 2:00pm to 8:00pm at Salandra Funeral Service, Inc., Joseph P. Salandra owner/supervisor, 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg 724-745-8120, where services will be held on Monday, November 17, 2008 at 10:00am, with Rev. Craig Kephart officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Spring Cemetery, Canonsburg.
