Cynthia J. Paul

Cynthia J. Paul age 62 of Canonsburg passed away unexpectedly Saturday February 3, 2018 in Allegheny General Hospital with her family by her side. She was born January 24, 1956 in Canonsburg a daughter of the late August and Mildred J. Verchek Podboy. Mrs. Paul lived her life in Strabane and Canonsburg where she was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church. She was a 1973 graduate of Canon McMillan Senior High School and the Pittsburgh Beauty Academy and was self-employed at her Korner Kut Salon in Strabane for over thirty years. Prior to her retirement she had been employed at BS Hair in Canonsburg. Mrs. Paul was an active member at the SNPJ lodge 138 in Strabane, where she volunteered in the kitchen and enjoyed bowling and Balina. On April 24, 1976 she married Albert E. Paul who survives. Also left behind to cherish her memory is her beloved daughter Ashley Elizabeth Paul and her fiancé Nathan Shields of Canonsburg, two sisters; Pamela Trinnes of Bridgeville and Mary (Billy) Kirby of Canonsburg, her brother David J. (Mary Jane) Podboy of New Cumberland and several nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her beloved dog Meeka.

At the request of the deceased there will be no public visitation. Mrs. Paul’s family welcomes her friends to a Celebration of Her Life at the SNPJ Lodge 138 in Strabane at 11:00am Saturday February 10, 2018.
