Conrad C. Kern, 78, of North Strabane passed away on Friday, April 3, 2015 in his home, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Strabane on February 5, 1937, a son of the late Anthony and Julia Lipec Kern.
Conrad was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Parish and was a retiree of Pennsylvania Transformer. Conrad was an avid golfer and enjoyed weekly golf outings with his son.
On November 28, 1964 he married Ida Lucchitti Kern, who survives.
Also surviving are his two beloved children, Carolyn Kern of Lake Worth, Florida and Lawrence A. (Renee Ruzzi-Kern) Kern of South Fayette; a brother, Anthony (Joan) Kern of Easton, Maryland; two sisters, Julia (the late John) Dolinar of South Park and Irma (the late Frank) Pochiba of McMurray; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends are welcome from 2-8 PM on Monday, April 6, 2015 in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., Joseph P. Salandra Owner/Supervisor, Lin Webb Funeral Director, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg 724-745-8120 where departing prayers will begin at 11:30 AM on Tuesday, April 7, 2015. A Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow at 12 Noon in St. Patrick Roman Catholic Parish, 317 West Pike Street, Canonsburg. Interment will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, McMurray.
