Clara E. Sweton, 94, of Canonsburg, died Sunday, December 28, 2008 at 1:56 PM in Canonsburg Hospital. She was born March 23, 1914 in Washington the daughter of John and Mary Howard Seibert.
Mrs. Sweton graduated from Washington High School. She loved collecting antiques of all kind, and was a homemaker.
On July 30, 1938 she married John Sweton who died January 22, 2005.
Surviving are a son John F. Sweton of Locust Grove, VA, two daughters Marian L. Sweton of Cleveland, OH and Eva Sweton of Canonsburg. A brother John Seibert of Cleveland, OH; two grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Friends will be received on Friday, January 2, 2009 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM in the Salandra Funeral Service, Inc., Joseph P. Salandra, owner/supervisor, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg where services will be held Saturday, January 3, 2009 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Donald C. Austin officiating. Interment will be in Woodruff Memorial Park, Canonsburg.
