Christine M. Finney age 63 of Meadowlands passed away peacefully Monday February 27, 2023, in the Greenery Center for Rehab and Nursing. She was born June 1, 1959, in Canonsburg, a daughter of Doris M. (Skovranko - Finney) White of Canonsburg and the late Donald L Finny Sr. Christine lived her early life with her family in North Strabane Twp. and was a graduate of Canon-McMillan Sr. High School class of 1977. Prior to becoming disabled due to an aneurysm in her brain she resided in Meadowlands with her three devoted daughters and her companion, the late Dave Chopak. During her lifetime, Chris was a loving stay at home mother and homemaker before joining with her best friend, the late Patty Askew, partnering in a business called P & C Homestyle Twist and Diner. She then became a chef for Shelley’s Pike Inn in Houston. Christine was a member of the KSKJ St. Jerome Lodge 153 of Strabane. Left behind to cherish her memory, in addition to her mother, are her three beloved daughters Jennifer Sowers, Deena Hixenbaugh and Angela Adams, her sister Kathleen M. Finney, her brother Donald Finney Jr., her stepbrother Robert (Leslie) White, her grandchildren, Dylan, Grayson, Jayce, Natalie, Logan, Mariah, Dustin, Cameron, Madison and Gabriella, and her great grandchildren Athena and Lila.
Friends and family are welcome from 2 until 4 pm Sunday March 5, 2023, when a blessing service will take place, in SALANDRA FUNERAL and CREMATION SERVICES, INC. Joseph P.
