Charles (Hollie) Hrabcsak age 82 of Strabane died Sunday November 29, 2009 in Canonsburg General Hospital. He was born January 17, 1927 in Muse a son of the late Andrew and Elizabeth Sedora Hrabcsak.
Mr. Hrabscak served with the United States Navy during World War II and was a member of St. Michaels Byzantine Catholic church in Canonsburg. Prior to his retirement in 1988 he had been employed at the former McGraw Edison Power Systems for 25 years. He had lived his entire life in Muse and Strabane and was a member of the SNPJ Lodge 6 of Sygan, the VFW post 191 in Canonsburg and the American Legion post 902 of Houston.
On November 13, 1975 he married Betty Jane Borin, who survives. Also surviving are a son David (Roseanne) Hrabcsak of Washington and two daughters, Janet (Wayne) LaPosta of Washington and Lynn (Tom) Casciola of McDonald, six grandchildren 9 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was the last of his immediate family. Deceased are two brothers, Andrew and Albert Hrabcsak and four sisters Helen Wasuchno, Elizabeth Peters, Dorothy Brown and Mary Hrabcsak.
Friends are welcome from 2-4 and 6-8pm Tuesday December 1, 2009 in Salandra Funeral Service, Inc. Joseph P. Salandra owner/supervisor, where a blessing service will be held at 11 am on Wednesday December 2, 2009 with Reverend Joseph Jugan , Pastor of St. Michaels Byzantine Catholic church officiating.
