Cecelia F. Drabeck

Cecelia F. Drabeck 90, of Washington, died Thursday, January 8, 2009, in the Donnell House in Washington.
She was born February 4, 1918 in Treveskyn, Pa., the daughter of William and Josephine Grusewski Ostrowski.
Mrs. Drabeck was a graduate of Carnegie High School.
During World War II she worked as a welder for Dravo in Pittsburgh, later she was co-owner with her husband Fredrick, in Drabeck Filling Station and Diane's Family Dinner, where she did most of the cooking. Later they owned Drabeck's Motor Hotel on Route 19.
She was a member of St. Patrick Church and Canonsburg Senior Citizens.
Mrs. Drabeck loved to dance, especially polkas, singing and playing cards. She enjoyed going to the Meadow's.
On April 16, 1934 she married Fredrick J. Drabeck who died on November 7, 1983.
Surviving are two sons, Fred (LaVerna) Drabeck, Jr. of Washington; Gerald W. Drabeck of Springfield, Tenn.; two daughters, Dianna C. (Thomas) Yurkovich of Kent, Oh. Wanita K. ( Charles) Kraus of Aliquippa; seven grandchildren, Fred III, Debbie, Denis, Craig, Gerald, Jr., Daniel and Kaitlyn; five great-grandchildren, Emily, Brianna, Ty, Jerry III and Cody and many nieces and nephews.
She was the last of her immediate family.
Deceased are sister, Julia Hundenski and brother, Stanley Ostrowski.
Fiends are welcome on Sunday, January 11, 2009 from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm at Salandra Funeral Service, Inc., Joseph P. Salandra owner/supervisor, 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg 724-745-8120, where a blessing service will be held on Monday, January 12, 2009 at 9:30 am followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Patrick Church. Entombment will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery.
