Catherine "Kat" Bolick Helton

Catherine "Kat" Bolick Helton age 86 of Sycamore formerly of Hickory North Carolina passed away at 5:50 am Wednesday November 21, 2012 in Golden Living of South Hills. She was born April 27, 1926 in Hickory N.C. a daughter of the late Wesley and Etta Davis Bolick Sr. Mrs. Helton lived most of her life in Hickory and had been a member of Concord Baptist Church in Granite Falls, N.C where she enjoyed many trips with the church. She had been a leader in the cutting Department of Bassett Furniture where she was employed for 35 years. She was last employed in environmental services at Frye Regional Hospital.
On March 30, 1945 she married Clyde Franklin Helton who died September 2, 1994. Surviving is her daughter Carla Helton (David Harden) with whom she made her home at Sycamore, Greene County, two sons Wayne (Nelda) Clark of Hickory N.C. and Michael (Jane) Helton of Shelby N.C. a daughter in law Vivian Helton of Hickory N.C. a brother Wesley Bolick Jr. of Bethlehem N.C. three sisters; Peggy Lane of Conover N.C. Joyce Smith of Hickory, N.C. and Doris Keller of Texas, 11 grandchildren, 13 great grand children and several nieces and nephews. Deceased in addition to her husband is a son Donald Helton, a brother Robert David Bolick and a grandson Ronald.

Services will be held at 11 am Monday November 26, 2012 in Concord Baptist Church, Granite Falls, N.C. interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Hickory North Carolina.
