Carl S. "Feather" Falcione Jr.

Carl S. “Feather” Falcione Jr. age 80 of Canonsburg, passed away peacefully Monday June 12, 2017 in Canonsburg Hospital with his devoted family by his side following an extended illness. He was born August 22, 1936 in Canons burg a son of the late Carl S. Sr. and Mary Maggi Falcione. He lived his entire life in Canonsburg graduating from Canonsburg High School class of 1954 where he was a member of the track team excelling as a hurdler and earning the nick name Feather. He attended Washington and Jefferson College and was a lifetime member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church. Mr. Falcione served from 1954 to 1958 in the United States Navy as a Hospital Corpsman. He was an original member of the Four Coins singing group, and an excellent drummer who played with the Bobby Vinton Band in his youth. In addition to being a singer Mr. Falcione was a prolific tap dancer, receiving many awards for dancing. He was very proud of being a founding organizer and past president of the Little Gunners Midget Football Association. Prior to his retirement he had been employed for 32 years at McGraw Edison Power Systems and  Cooper Industries as an expediter.

On August 4, 1956, he married his dear wife of 60 years Audrey J. Nackoul who survives. Also left to cherish his memory are his beloved children; Scott (Debbie) Falcione of Washington, Craig Falcione of West Palm Beach Florida, Carla Falcione of Bridgeville and Clark (Teresa) Falcione of Anderson Indiana, two brothers; Ronald (Patricia) Falcione of Canonsburg and Dennis (Jeannette) Falcione of Warren Ohio, five grandchildren; Daesha (Ryan) Gogarty, Chelsea (Fiancée Jason Thomas) Falcione, Scott (Kelley) Falcione Jr., Clark Falcione Jr. and Jessica (Corey) Gerard, a great grandchild; Colin Gogarty and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Falcione also anticipated the birth of his second great-grandchild, Delaney Louise Falcione due in August.

Friends are welcome from 2-8pm Thursday June 15, 2017 in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc. Joseph P. Salandra owner/supervisor 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg 724-745-8120 where departing prayers will be recited at 9:30am Friday June 16, 2017. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10am in St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church 317 West Pike Street Canonsburg. Interment will be in St. Patrick Cemetery with full military rites by the VFW Post 191 and the United States Navy Honor Guards.
