Brenda J. Zanakis-Stewart age 70 of Hickory, passed away Sunday, July 28, 2013 in Canonsburg General Hospital.
She was born October 8, 1942 in Canonsburg, the daughter of the late Harry F. and Mary Morgan Stubenbordt.
Mrs. Zanakis-Stewart worked for Industrial Scientific in there warehouse department. She was a devoted sister, who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Surviving are her beloved companion of over 40 years John D. Stewart, stepson, Brian (Reba) Stewart of Charlotte, NC.; stepdaughter, Tia (Rick) Krah of McDonald; four grandsons, Brandon Chiera, Cade Krah, Brody Krah and Kevin Stewart, five sisters, Doris "Dori" Greely of Houston, Cealia Metz of Sharon, Pa.; Kathleen (Gary) Spiegal of Finley, OH; Patricia Stubenbordt of Hooks town, Pa. and Sarah Ellen (Vern) Smith of McDonald, several nieces and nephews, her beloved dog Darby and nephew dog Clancy.
Deceased also is a sister, Margaret Mary Jones.
Friends are welcome on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Salandra Funeral Service, Inc., Joseph P. Salandra owner/supervisor, 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg, 724-745-8120, where Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, August 1, 2013 at 9:30AM with Rev. Steven Parkhill officiating. Interment will follow at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Twp
