Breanna Nicole Africa, 17, of Canonsburg died tragically in an automobile accident on Friday, September 9, 2016 in Clarksburg, West Virginia while traveling for a Christian Outreach program.

She was born August 8, 1999 in Washington, Pennsylvania.

She was a Senior at Canon McMillan Senior High in Canonsburg where she was a member of the choir and a former member of the Women’s Ensemble. She participated and was a member of the  Washington County Civil Air Patrol Squadron 601 since the 9th grade.

Miss. Africa was a faithful member of Champion Christian Center in Canonsburg where she was very active in the youth group.  She was passionate about her faith, loved her church and her church family.  She inspired others by her faith and love for Jesus.

Breanna was enrolled at Western Area Vocational Technical School in Houston where she participated in the Cosmetology program. She was also employed at Planet Bounce in Canonsburg.

She is survived by her devoted grandmother who raised her, Debra Griffith (Clyde) of Canonsburg, her extended family Jocelyn M. Africa, Alivia Walker, Braiden Africa, Jersie Africa and Alyssa Africa. Also surviving is her mother Danielle Africa, her aunt Lori Walker (Robert) of Cecil, uncle William Africa (Michelle) (Kenny and Dylan Stalowski) of Canonsburg, Aunt Jennifer Watkins (John) (Carter Watkins) of Canonsburg, Uncle Zach Griffith of Canonsburg and the Sanpietro family.
