Brandi (Brown) Cross

With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Brandi Cross (Brown), whose life was marked by boundless love, compassion, and resilience in the face of struggle. Brandi, age 52, passed away on March 28th, 2025. Brandi had the brightest smile and a style all her own. A lover of music--from 90's R&B to Elvis and Broadway musicals--she danced through life with a beat in her soul. Playful, silly, and full of light, Brandi gave her whole heart to those she loved. Her vibrancy and warmth touched everyone around her. A thrifting queen, her daughters fondly remember treasure hunting with her every weekend at Trader Jack's. She eventually grew that spark into her own thrift store business in Mount Oliver. A true original, Brandi had a way of turning the ordinary into something magical. Brandi will be laid to rest alongside loved ones who preceded her in death—her parents, Rebecca and Geoffrey, and her younger brother, Timothy. She is survived by her beloved daughters, Morgan Cross and Allison (Joshua) Ashcraft; her devoted partner, Richard Hawkins; her brother Christopher Brown; her aunt Marla Calvin; Uncles and several cousins, as well as a wide circle of friends who cherished her deeply. Brandi's light endures in every song played loud, every treasure thrifted, and in the hearts of those she loved so fiercely.
