Blanche Reck

Blanche Reck age 86 of Meadowlands passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday November 27, 2012 in her home.
She was born March 10, 1926 in Canonsburg a daughter of the late Stanley and Mary Polewski Brezinski. She lived in Meadowlands for the past 65 years where she was a member of Our Lady of the Miraculous Church. She had been a fifty year member of the Christian Mothers and Guild. Mrs. Reck attended St. Genevieve Church school in Canonsburg. She was a home maker who enjoyed bingo, playing cards and the slots. She was a member of the KSKJ, the Polish Alliance and was a member and past president of the Chartiers Senior Citizens. She will always be remembered for her wittiness and sense of humor.
On June 21, 1947 she married Louis Reck who survives. Also surviving are two sons Louis (Pam) Reck of Charlottesville, VA and Chester (Michele) Reck of Oil City, three grand children; McKenzie, Jessica and Travis, a great granddaughter Macy and several nieces and nephews. Mrs Reck was the last of her immediate family. Deceased are a brother Chester "Chippy" Brezinski and a sister Martha Berzinski.
Friends are welcome from 2-4 and 6-8pm Thursday in Salandra Funeral Service, Inc. Joseph P. Salandra owner/supervisor 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg 724-745-8120 where a blessing service will be held at 9:30am Friday November 30, 2012. A Mass of Christian Burial will celebrated at 10 am Friday in Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church.
Interment will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Peters Twp. The Christian Mothers and Guild of Miraculous Medal Church will recite the rosary at 3pm Thursday in the funeral home. The family suggests any memorial contributions be made to the Christian Mothers and Guild.
