Beverley C. Benard

Beverley C. Benard age 78 of Washington, formerly of Canonsburg passed away Sunday, August 11, 2024, in Washington Hospital. She was born August 16, 1945, in Carnegie, daughter of the late George R. and Beatrice P. Cain Bell. Beverley was a graduate of Carnegie High School class of 1963. She had lived in Canonsburg for most of her life and had been a member of Canonsburg United Presbyterian Church. Prior to her retirement Beverley had been employed for over 20 years as a certified nursing assistant at the Greenery in North Strabane Twp. She was a veracious reader who enjoyed playing cards, doing jigsaw puzzles and was an avid sports fan with the Pittsburgh Pirates being her favorite. On September 1, 1967, she married Gerald “Jerry” D. Benard who passed away on June 17, 2003. Left behind to cherish her memory are her two daughters, Colleen Benard with whom she made her home, Tracie Scott and her husband Jody of Washington and her son Jerry C. Benard and his wife Lisa of Washington, four beloved grandchildren, Caitlin and Colton Scott, Evan Quattro and E5 Petty Officer Zachary (Lily) Benard USN.
