Benedetto Secreti

Benedetto Secreti, age 90, of Canonsburg, PA, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 23, 2024, IN Canonsburg Hospital with his devoted family by his side. He was born on August 9, 1934, in San Giovanni in Fiore, Italy to Caterina Covelli and Frank Secreti. He came to America in 1967 at the age of 33 with his family. Benedetto was a hardworking man who also enjoyed spending time with his loving family and friends, gardening, cooking, attending church regularly, storytelling, making others laugh, and celebrating his Italian heritage. He was a member of St Oscar Romero Parish St. Patrick Church and the Muse Independent Club. Benedetto was full of energy, had the best smile, and made friends with everyone he met. His kind heart and sense of humor will be greatly missed by so many. On January 9. 1955, he married Antonietta Marasco Secreti and would have celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary in two weeks. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Antonio Secreti, and his oldest son, Francesco (Kelly, surviving) Secreti. Also left to cherish his memory are his beloved children; Salvatore Secreti, Catherine S. (James) Keener, Joann (Carmen) Calabro. Angela (Ken) Secreti Keefer. Also surviving are 14 grandchildren: Tiffany, Jimmy, Christine, Michael, Jordan, Sarah, Celeste, Spencer, Brittany, Bethany, Celena, Ben, Bella, and Antonietta. Benedetto also leaves behind two brothers, Sam and John Secreti, and 12 loving great grandchildren.

Friends and family are welcome from 3 until 8 pm Thursday December 26, 2024, in SALANDRA FUNERAL and CREMATION SERVICES, INC. Joseph P. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am in ST Oscar Romero Parish St. Patrick Church 317 West Pike Street Canonsburg. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray.
