Barbara Ruetschi

Barbara Ruetschi age 74 of Houston passed away peacefully, Wednesday January 29, 2025, in We Care of Canonsburg. She was born February 27, 1950, in Canonsburg, a daughter of the late Steve and Elizabeth Mason Matyas. Barbara was a graduate of Chartiers-Houston High School, class of 1968 and a member of Houston United Presbyterian Church. She attended the Pittsburgh Beauty Academy and worked as a hairdresser before being employed in clerical work with Apria Healthcare prior to her retirement. She also worked with the Central Assembly of God Church as a librarian. Barbara lived most of her life in Houston, enjoyed gardening and had dogs over the years. She loved going to Niagara Falls. On February 16, 1980, she married Robert Ruetschi who survives after 44 years of marriage. Also left behind to cherish her memory is her daughter Roxanne Ruetschi of Erie, her brother Tim Matyas and his wife Robin of Houston and their sons Timmy and Tommy Matyas.
