Anton Kay, 76, of DiCio Street, North Strabane Township, died peacefully February 24, 2009, in the care of his loving wife.
He was born April 8, 1932 in Deutsch Mokra Hungary, a son of Frank and Anna Kay.
Mr. Kay served in the U.S. Army Corps. and was honorably discharged on July 18, 1958. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and Army Occupation Medal (Germany.
He was an electronics serviceman and worked independently in the area servicing many of the southwestern school district with their audio-visual equipment.
On March 3, 1956, Mr. Kay married the former Marlene Starke in Germany.
In addition to his wife, surviving are two children, Lucy Kay (Chuck Tolten) of Dillon, Colo. and Ralph (Virginia) Kay of Aiken, S.C.; grandchildren, Ashley and Jordan Kay of Aiken, S.C.

Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 PM Thursday in Salandra Funeral Service, Inc.,Joseph P. Salandra, owner/supervisor, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg, PA 15317, 724-745-8120, where funeral services will be held at 10 AM Friday, February 27, 2009, followed by interment in National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Township. Military honors will be accorded by VFW 191 of Canonsburg and American Legion Post 902 of Houston. The family suggests memorial donations be made to Hospice Care of Washington Hospital, Wilson Avenue, Washington, PA 15301.
