Anthony J."Tony" Leo, of Houston, formerly of Dormont, died Saturday July 4, 2009 at 7:30 AM in Canonsburg General Hospital on his 86th Birthday.
Mr. Leo was born July 4, 1923 in Pittsburgh the son of the late Luigi and Teresa Male Leo.
During World War II he served in the U.S. Navy in the South Pacific.
Before his retirement Mr. Leo was a tile floor setter for 20 years.
Mr. Leo enjoyed playing golf and also enjoyed talking with people.
Surviving are his wife Sara Romary Leo, a son Kevin (Kelli) Ross of Gainesville, FL, three daughters, Joyce (Kevin) Kelly of Bethel Park, Judy Roberts of Walnut Creek, CA, and Kathleen (Bill) Vogel of Houston. A daughter-in-law Laurel Leo Laird of Chicago, IL; 14 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Deceased are his first wife, Alice Grayble Leo, a son Donald Leo, a brother Dominic Leo and a grandson Mark Anthony Leo.
Friends will be received on Monday, July 6, 2009 from 3:30 PM to 7:00 PM, the time of the service in Salandra Funeral Service, Inc., Joseph P. Salandra, owner/supervisor. Military rites will be at 6:30 PM by the combined honor guard of the VFW Post 191 of Canonsburg and the American Legion Post 902 of Houston. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory my be sent to Prime Time Adult Care Inc.
