Anne M. Sobolewski age 94 of Strabane passed away Sunday, October 28, 2012.
She was born October 28, 1918, in Coral, Pa.; a daughter of the late John Joseph and Julia G. Stelmach Pecharka.
Mrs. Sobolewski was a home maker and a member of St. Patrick Church.
On November 15, 1936 she married her husband, John L. Sobolewski who passed away on March 15, 1950.
Surviving are four daughters, Joanne (David) Bier of Washington, Patricia Sobolewski, with whom she made her home, Judith A. (Dennis) Danko and Mary Margaret (Alfred) Falleroni both of Washington, a brother, George Pecharka of Canonsburg, seven grandchildren, Christine Proto, Joseph Danko, Catherine Danko John Falleroni, Julianne Wolfe, Sara Falleroni and Daniel Falleroni; four great-grandchildren, Elias Wolfe, Henry Wolfe, Linnea Wolfe and Anna Proto, and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased also are two sisters, Rose Potocnak and Margaret Pecharka who died in infancy and three brothers, John, Paul, and Edward Pecharka.
Family and friends are welcome on Tuesday, October 30, 2012 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Salandra Funeral Service, Inc., Joseph P. Salandra owner/supervisor, 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg 724-745-8120, where a Blessing Service will be held Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at 9:30am. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at St. Patrick Church at 10:00 am. Interment will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Canonsburg.
