Anne M. Koren age 83, of Canonsburg died at 4:45 pm Thursday August 6, 2009 at Consulate Heath Care in North Strabane Twp.
She was born May 2, 1926 in Hendersonville a daughter of Joseph and Martha Malinsky. A graduate of Cecil High school,Mrs. Koren was a home maker and member of St.Patrick R.C. church in Canonsburg and the Christian Mothers and Guild.
On November 8, 1947 she married Paul P. Koren who died November 24, 1988. Surviving are a daughter, Donna Marie Koren of Washington and a son, Paul Edward (Margaret) Koren of Clackamas, Oregon, two granddaughters, Emily and Melanie Koren and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are two brothers, Anthony and Joseph Malinsky.
Friends are welcome from 2-4 and 6-8 pm Sunday at Salandra Funeral Service, Inc. Joseph P. Salandra owner/supervisor 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg, where a blessing service will be held at 9:30 am Monday, August 10, 2009 followed at 10am by a Mass of Christian Burial in St Patrick Church. Interment will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery. The Christian Mothers and Guild of St. Patrick will recite the Rosary at 3pm Sunday in the Funeral Home.
