Anne (Suska) Greza age 93 of Canonsburg, died Sunday July 4, 2010, peacefully surrounded by her family. She was born October 29, 1916 in Ambridge a daughter of the late Frank and Katherine Kozak Suska Sr.
On May 29, 1935 Anne graduated from Canonsburg High School, where she met her husband at a school dance. She lived most of her life in Canonsburg as she raised her family and was a devoted member of St. Patrick Parrish where she worshiped and volunteered. She had been a founding member of the Christian Mothers and Guild in 1947 and had been an active lifetime member.
Mrs. Greza became active in Democratic politics and was elected Inspector of Elections in the Third ward of Canonsburg. Her life revolved around her husband and family. She enjoyed sewing, canning vegetables from the family garden, cooking, baking and family picnics. Anne will be dearly missed by all who came to know her kindness, patience, generosity and love.
On February 6, 1944 she married the love of her life, Steve G. Greza Sr,who, after 54 years of marriage passed away on December 11, 1998. Surviving are three daughters, Carol (John) Ciccarelli of Woodbridge Virginia, Barbara (Richard) Murphy of McMurray, Nancy (Michael) Minton of Pittsburgh a son Stephen G. (Marcia) Greza Jr. of Morgantown West Virginia, her brother Frank (Minnie) Suska of McMurray and a sister, Mary Domsic of Detroit Michigan, 7 cherished grandchildren Cristin Farwell, Katie Rogers, Colleen Lukasewicz, Maureen Ginsburg, Lauren Minton, Lucas and Cameron Greza, 8 great grandchildren Ben, Megan, Lucas Jakub, Jullian, Emily, Julie and Colton, several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Deceased are a grand daughter Julie Murphy, a brother Dan Suska and a sister Julie Alderson.
Friends are welcome from 2-4 and 6-8 pm Wednesday in Salandra Funeral Service, Inc. Joseph P. Salandra owner/supervisor 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg 724-745-8120 where a blessing service will be held at 9:30 am Thursday July 8, 2010 followed at 10 am by a Mass of Christian Burial In St. Patrick Church. Interment will be in St. Patrick Cemetery. The Christian Mothers and Guild of St. Patrick will recite the Rosary at 3pm Wednesday in the funeral home.
