Anna Eleanor “Nuna” Lapacik, 83 of Canonsburg passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at South Hills Rehabilitation and Wellness Center in Canonsburg.
She was born on February 6, 1934 in Belington, West Virginia to Ralph and Eva Hollenback Quattro who preceded her in death.
On April 24, 1954 she married John V. Lapacik who passed away on August 19, 1985.
She was a member of Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church in Muse.
In her spare time, she enjoyed being at the Senior Citizens Center in Canonsburg.
She is survived by her sons John “Jack” Lapacik (Sue) of Burgettstown and Joseph Lapacik (Donna) of Canonsburg, a daughter Dana Chekan (Mike) of Heildelburg , two brothers Cosmos Quattro of Baltimore, Maryland and Frank Quattro of Lost River, West Virginia, a sister Angela Conner of Baltimore, Maryland, four grandchildren, Laura Hasson (Bob), Lindsay Lapacik, Rachel Lakosh (Steve) and John V. Lapacik, III., four great grandchildren, Jacob Lakosh, Ethan and Sofia Hildebrand and Luke Hasson, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers George Quattro, Louis Quattro and Lawrence Quattro and one sister Mary Salfia.
Friends are welcome from 2~4 and 6~8 p.m. on Friday, October 13, 2107 in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Service, Inc., Joseph P. Salandra, owner/supervisor, 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg, 724-745-8120 where departing prayers will begin at 11:20 a.m. on Saturday, October 14, 2017. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at Noon in Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, Muse, Father George W. DeVille officiating. Interment will follow at St. Patrick Cemetery, Canonsburg.
