Anna "Ann" Nackoul

Anna "Ann" Nackoul age 95 of Meadowlands, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at 2:05 PM in McMurray Hills Manor, Canonsburg.
She was born on July 24, 1914 in Meadowlands, the daughter of John and Kathryn Bodnar.
Mrs. Nackoul retired from Western Center from the dietary department and before that worked for the Chartiers Houston School cafeteria as an assistant cook.
She was a Charter member of Our Lady of Miraculous Medal Church, also belonging to the Rosary Society, Christian Mothers, Travel Club and to Chartiers Houston Senior Citizens.
Mrs. Nackoul was known for her kindness to others, was always willing to care for others especially her neighbors children, and anyone in their time of need. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Ann loved to cook and taught her daughters and others her favorite recipes.
On October 18, 1941, she married Charles Nackoul who died on November 22, 1959.
Surviving are her son David Nackoul and wife Joanne of Mesa, AZ.; two daughters, Judy Fisher and husband Larry and Barbara Kozdra and husband Joseph both of Washington; six grandchildren, Jennifer Klink and husband Bill of Fuquay-Varina, N.C.; Chad Fisher of Lyndhurst, VA.; Cori Clark of Durham, N.C.; Shannon West and husband Paul of Coraopolis, Pa.; Justin Nackoul of Aurora, Co.; and Paul Kozdra of Washington; four great-grandchildren; one brother, Paul Bodnar of Meadowlands; and many nieces and nephews.
Deceased are one sister, Katherine McMillen and two brothers, John and Anthony Bodnar.
Friends are welcome on Thursday, January 28, 2010 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Salandra Funeral Service, Inc. Joseph P. Salandra owner/supervisor, 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg 724-745-8120, where a Blessing Service will be held on Friday , January 29, 2010 at 11:30 AM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Noon in Our Lady of Miraculous Medal Church, Meadowlands. Interment will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, McMurray. Family suggests, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Albert Gallatin Hospice, 2215 Hill Church Houston Road, Suite 1A Canonsburg, Pa. 15317 in Memory of Anna.
Christian Mothers will rite rosary on Thursday at 3:00 PM in the funeral home.
