Anna M. Sedora age 99, of Canonsburg, passed away peacefully, Sunday February 2, 2025, with her devoted family by her side. She was born on January 15, 1926, in Canonsburg, a daughter of the late John Charles and Catherine Ann Hudak Sroka. Mrs. Sedora lived her life in Canonsburg, where she was a faithful member of St. Oscar Romero Parish St. Patrick Church. Anna had been employed at the Canonsburg Pottery Company, the Slovak Club and McCrory’s 5 and 10 over the years, prior to retiring from the RCA plant in Meadowlands, where she had been an assembler and cook, at the time of its closing. She was best known for being employed at Simmons Farm Market on route 19, since 1982 until she was 95 years old. Anna was a member of the KSKJ ST. Jerome Lodge 153 of Strabane, the Slovak Club and the Jednota Lodge. She enjoyed crocheting, making pierogies, cooking and baking for everyone, and leaves behind her two white Bichon’s Angel and Sissy. On May 29, 1948, she married Thomas E. Sedora who passed away July 18, 1973. Left behind to cherish her memory are her children Deborah A. Sedora and Thomas John Sedora and his wife Carol D. Sedora, her brothers Charles Sroka and his wife Charlotte of Canonsburg and Theodore Sroka of Tucson Arizona, her sister Dorothy Jacobs of Harrisburg and many nieces and nephews. Deceased, in addition to her husband and parents, are her brothers John, George, Paul and Ronald Sroka and sisters Catherine Gregg, Patricia Day, Elizabeth Sroka and Julia Yarkosky who passed away Monday, January 27, 2025.

Friends and family are welcome from 2 pm until 8 pm on Wednesday February 5, 2025, in SALANDRA FUNERAL and CREMATION SERVICES, INC. Joseph P. Salandra LFD owner/supervisor 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg (724) 745-8120 where departing prayers will be recited at 9:40 am Thursday February 6, 2025. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am in St Oscar Romero Parish St. Patrick Church 317 West Pike Street Canonsburg. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens McMurray. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Canonsburg-Houston Meals on Wheels.
