Anna Marie Hete, 74, of Houston died Thursday April 23, 2009 at 3:00 PM in Canonsburg Hospital.

She was born February 2, 1935 in Meadowlands, a daughter of William Charles and Anna Marie Malinak Duke.

Mrs. Hete was a member of Our Lady of Miraculous Medal Church in Meadowlands; she was also a member of the Christian Mothers.

Mrs. Hete was a member of the Model A Bowling League.

Before her retirement she worked as a nurse's aide for many years at Western Center.

On April 28, 1956 she married Andrew Hete Jr. who died February 23, 2000.

Surviving are two sons, Andrew C. Hete of Houston and Anthony John (Wendy) Hete of Canonsburg, a daughter Kathryn (Ray) Waychoff of Houston.

A brother John (Linda) Duke of Canonsburg and five sisters; Elizabeth (Milan) Ylilt of Avella, Barbara Purdy of McDonald, Evelyn (John) Logar and Dorothy (Ronald) Markle both of Washington and Patricia (Joseph) Rolek of Canonsburg and six grandchildren.

Deceased is a grandson Andrew C. Hete Jr.

Friends will be received in the Salandra Funeral Service, Inc., Joseph P. Salandra, owner/supervisor on Sunday April 26, 2009 from 2-8 PM where a blessing service will be held on Monday 10:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in Our Lady of Miraculous Medal Church with Rev. John L. O'Shea officiating. Interment will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery. Christian Mothers will recite the rosary on Sunday at 4:00 PM in the funeral home.
