Ann Densen, 90, of Canonsburg, passed away on Friday, March 6, 2015 in the Donnell House, Washington with her loving family by her side.
She was born in Muse on April 3, 1924, a daughter of the late John and Anna Neiser Funka.
Ann was a member of View Crest Presbyterian Church in Eighty Four. She volunteered countless hours with Meals on Wheels and the National Pike Festival. She also helped with saving the local covered bridges.
On May 28, 1946 she married Augustus O. Densen, who passed away on October 13, 1983.
Surviving are her four beloved children, David O. Densen of Clarksburg, WV, Donald A. (Gail) Densen of Meadville, Mary Lou (Joe) Corso of Canonsburg, and Donna Jean Harris of Canonsburg; a sister, Harriet Martys of Canonsburg; six granddaughters; and two great grandsons.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by two brothers, George and John Funka.
Friends are welcome from 2-4 and 6-8 on Monday, March 9, 2015 in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., Joseph P. Salandra Owner/Supervisor, Lin Webb Funeral Director, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg 724-745-8120 where a funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 with Rev. Shaun Nolan officiating. Interment will follow in Hill Church Cemetery, Canonsburg.
