Angelo Marino

Angelo (Baker) Marino age 79 of Canonsburg, died at 10:30pm January 6, 2009 in his home, surrounded by his beloved family.
He was born January 23, 1929 in Canonsburg a son of Michael Archangelo and Amelia Maffio Marino. He lived most of his life in Canonsburg where he was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church and the Veterans of Foreign Wars post 191.
Mr. Marino served with the United States Army National Guard in Europe during the Korean War. Prior to his retirement in 1985 he had been an expeditor with Cooper Power Systems and McGraw Edison where he had been employed for 34 years. He enjoyed bowling, high school wrestling, playing cards, watching football and spending time with his family.
On September 27, 1952 He married Joan Mastrangelo who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Michael (Wendy) Marino of Canonsburg and Angelo (Susan) Marino of Washington; two daughters, Jody (Joseph) Gasbarrini and Tami (Vincent) Paris both of Canonsburg; two sisters Betty Jane (Anthony) Bevec and Michelle (Donald) North both of Canonsburg: seven grandchildren Anglo and Makenzie Marino, Mallory and Morgan Gasbarrini, Matthew, Jason and Vincent Paris and several nieces and nephews.
Friends are welcome from 2-8pm Thursday in Salandra funeral Service, Inc. Joseph P. Salandra owner/supervisor 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg (724)745-8120 where a blessing service will be held at 9:00 am Friday January 9, 2009, followed at 9:30 am by a Mass of Christian Burial in St Patrick R.C. church. Interment will be at the National Cemetery of the Allegheny's, Cecil Township with full military rites being accorded by the Veterans of Foreign Wars post 191 of Canonsburg and the American Legion post 902 of Houston.
