Andrew Kacvinsky age 88 of Hendersonville (Cecil, Township), died on Tuesday, October 20, 2009.
He was born on February 11, 1921, in Hendersonville, the son of John and Mary Gondos Kacvinsky.
Mr. Kacvinsky served during World War II, as a crewman on an Anti Aircraft as an artillery gun man. During that time he received Theater Ribbon, Good Conduct Metal and Victory Medal World War II.
He worked as a coalminer and construction worker for Steelbuilt Construction located in Bridgeville, for 29 years.
Mr. Kacvinsky lived most of his life in Hendersonville where he was a member of the former St. Elizabeth Church and was a member of Hendersonville Sportsmen Club.
On October 20, 1949 he married Antionette Bernardi who died July 3, 1990.
Surviving are son, Andrew J. (Cynthia) Kacvinsky of Washington; daughter, Donna M. (Steve) Waffensmith of Washington; four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was the last of his immediate family.
Deceased are three sisters, Mary Katrencik, Ethel Price and Margaret Pitts; five brothers, Lewis, Joseph, Frank, Michael and Steve Kacvinsky.
