Aloysius M."Al" Moze

Aloysius M. "Al" Moze age 69 of Houston died unexpectedly Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at Canonsburg General Hospital.
He was born July 5, 1941 in Canonsburg the son of the late Louis and Pauline Gonglik Moze.
Mr. Moze was a graduate of Canonsburg High School class of 1959 and also served on the reunion committee.
He served in the United States Navy on the USS Forrestal 4th Naval District.
Mr. Moze retired from former DBT and recently from Salandra Funeral Service, Inc.
He was a member of Our Lady of Miraculous Medal Church, Meadowlands, where he volunteered for many church functions. He was also member Veteran of Foreign Wars Post 191 of Canonsburg and American Legion Post 902 of Houston where he served on the combined honor guard.
Mr. Moze lived most of his life in the Canonsburg-Houston area, where he was involved with youth sports. He enjoyed watching his grandsons in their sporting events, spending time with family and friends and working in his yard.
On June 22, 1963 he married Barbara Klapach, who survives.
Also surviving are daughter, Michele (Vito) Virgili of North Strabane, Twp.; son Michael (Alison) Moze of Cranberry, Twp.; two grandsons, Braden Moze and Brycen Virgili, brother, Allan (Linda) Moze of Charlotte, N.C. sister, Maria Dombrowski of Canonsburg; several nieces and nephews and faith full companion his dog Nakita.
Friends are welcome on Thursday, June 23, 2011 from 2:00 to 8:00 PM at Salandra Funeral Service, Inc., Joseph P. Salandra owner/supervisor, 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg, Pa. 724-745-8120, where a Blessing Service will be held Friday, June 24, 2011 at 10:30 AM. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 AM in Our Lady of Miraculous Medal Church. Interment will follow at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville. Full Military rites will be accorded by the combined honor guard of Veteran of Foreign Wars post 191 of Canonsburg and American Legion Post 902 of Houston. Family suggest in lieu of flowers make donations to ones choice in memory of Al.
