Aldine "Dee" Cianelli

Aldine "Dee" Cianelli age 94 of Canonsburg, passed away peacefully at 10:30 am Thursday July 25, 2013 at Strabane Woods Assisted Living. She was born September 18, 1918 in Canonsburg a daughter of the late Anthony and Orldine D'Amico Dettore. Mrs. Cianelli lived her entire life in Canonsburg where she was a home maker and member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church. She had been a volunteer with the Canonsburg Hospital Women's Auxilliary for over 35 years and had been a member of the former Catholic Daughters of the America's Court Canonsburg 1211. She enjoyed playing cards with a group of friends for 40 years.
On January 18, 1941 she married Nick Cianelli Sr. who died January 2, 1987. Surviving are two sons; Ron (Barbara) Cianelli of Washington and Nick Cianelli Jr. of Canonsburg a daughter; Cathy (Jay) Romano of Cecil, five grandchildren Nick (Susan) Cianelli, Victor Cianelli, Cara (Jake) Mowry, Jayson and Jaret Romano, several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Mrs. Cianelli was the last of her immediate family. Deceased are her grandson, Joseph Cianelli, three sisters; Carmie Rod, Connie Stevenson and Virginia Warnick and three brothers; Tim, Frank and Dave Dettore.
Friends are welcome from 8:30 until 10 am, the time of a Catholic blessing service Saturday July 27, 2013 in Salandra Funeral Service, Inc. Joseph P. Salandra owner/supervisor 304 West Pike Canonsburg 724-745-8120. Interment will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery, Canonsburg. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to either the Canonsburg General Hospital Women's Auxiliary or the City Mission of Washington.
