Albert S. Ostrander age 67 of Strabane died unexpectedly Thursday May 19, 2011 in his home. He was born June 5, 1943 in Westland a son of the late William J. and Martha Ann Charney Ostrander. He lived in Strabane for the past 13 years and was Catholic by faith.
Mr. Ostrander was a self employed contractor and was a member of the VFW post 191 and the A.G.A. both of Canonsburg.
On December 30, 1961 he married Margaret P. Dupesko, who died June 17, 2006. Surviving are three children, Albert S. (Diane) Ostrander Jr. of Victorville, California, Brenda Lee Parker of Thompsontown, Pa. and Marie Lynn (Jerry) Costabile of Croydon, Pa. six grandsons Troy and Tyler Ostrander and Michael, Sean, Daniel and Austin Parker, Three brothers Eugene Ostrander of Washington, Kenneth Ostrander of Mesa, Arizona and Raymond (Melinda) Ostrander of Lake Station Indiana, six sisters, Dorothy Weaver of Levittown, Pa., Mary Jane (Lawrence) Wheeler of Lake Station Indiana, Barbara Ward of Melbourne Beach, Florida, LaVerna (Fred) Drabeck of Washington, Martha (George) Baker of Hyattsville Maryland and Darlene (Herb) Dicks of Claysville, and many nieces and nephews. Deceased is a brother Donald Ostrander and a son Stephen Ostrander who died in infancy.
