Agnes M. Zubenko age 85 of Canonsburg died Saturday March 12, 2011 in Canonsburg General Hospital, surrounded by her family, following a brief illness.
She was born February 24, 1926 in Canonsburg a daughter of the late George and Mary Marcishak Guidos.
Mrs. Zubenko lived her life in Canonsburg. She graduated from Canonsburg High School and had been employed at the former Continental Can Co. and R.C.A plant in Canonsburg and was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church. She enjoyed singing, cooking and baking for her family and working crossword puzzles.
On July 21, 1948 she married George Zubenko, who survives. Also surviving is her son Dr. George (Dr. Wendy) Zubenko of Wexford, her daughters Carol (Anthony) Bevec and Karen (Brian) Conroy both of Canonsburg, two grand daughters, Natalie and Nicollette Bevec, two sisters Gloria Capozzi of Canonsburg and Alice France of Peters Twp. and several nieces and nephews. Deceased is a sister Mamie Cumer.
At the request of the deceased the will be no public visitation. Private family visitation and services will be held on Tuesday, followed by interment in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Twp.
