Agnes Evanoka age 86 of Strabane died unexpectedly Wednesday, February 9, 2011 in her home. She was born July 26, 1924 in Strabane a daughter of the late George and Anna Subrick.
Mrs. Evanoka lived her life in Strabane where she was a self employed hairdresser for fifty four years. She was a lifetime member of St. Michaels Byzantine Catholic Church.
On July 27, 1947 she married Andrew Evanoka who survives. Also surviving is a son David A. (Kathy Richardson) Evanoka of Amity, two grandsons, Andrew (Jodi) Evanoka and Garrett (Juliann Boyd) Richardson and several nieces and nephews. She was the last of her immediate family. Deceased are 3 sisters, Mary Zadik, Sister Helena OSBM and Sister Philomena OSBM And four brothers George, John, Joseph and Charles Subrick.
Friends are welcome from 2-4 and 6-8pm Friday, February 11, 2011 in Salandra Funeral Service, Inc. Joseph P. Salandra owner/supervisor 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg where a blessing service will be held at 11:30am Saturday, February 12, 2011. A Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at noon in St Michael's Byzantine Catholic Church with Reverend Joseph Jugan, Pastor as celebrant. Interment will follow in St Michael's Cemetery, Canonsburg.
