Adrienne F. Montillet, 74 of Canonsburg peacefully passed away on Friday, September 02, 2016 in her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on April 24, 1942 in Brooklyn, New York to Francis and Aileen Taaffe Ficarra who preceded her in death.

On September 25, 1971 she married Georges Montillet who survives.

Mrs. Montillet taught French with a creative and dedicated spirit for almost 40 years.  She also taught all elementary levels in both the suburbs and the inner city of New York.   She earned a Master's in French Literature and a second Master's in School Administration.

She was a faithful member of Our Lady of Miraculous Medal Church in Meadowlands. She belonged to the Christian Mothers and was very dedicated to sharing her faith and helping others to know and understand their faith.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her loving sons Philippe G. Montillet (Anna) of Round Rock, Texas and Georges F. Montillet (Erin) of Rochester, Minnesota, a brother Kent Ficarra of Eagan, Minnesota, two sisters Hilary Taaffe of Mobile, Alabama and Patrice Servidea of Morris Plains, New Jersey. Also surviving are four grandchildren Alex, Elise, Aliana and Bernadette Montillet and several nieces and nephews.

At the request of the deceased there will be no viewing.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at Our Lady of Miraculous Medal Church, 300 Pike Street, Meadowlands.  Everyone please meet at the church.  Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens in McMurray.  Funeral arrangements are being handled by Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., Joseph P. Salandra, Owner/Supervisor, 304 W. Pike Street, Canonsburg 724-745-8120.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Our Lady of Miraculous Medal Church in Meadowlands.
