Eleanor Joan "Dude" Betonte Zaricki

Eleanor Joan “Dude”(Betonte) Zaricki, 97, of Canonsburg passed away peacefully with her family by her side Tuesday, August 16, 2022.

She was born September 27, 1924 in Canonsburg, a daughter of Dominick and Mamie (Wright) Betonte.

She was a member of the South Canonsburg Church and the 861 Eagles in Canonsburg.

On May 22, 1948, she married Michael Zaricki who passed away July 14, 1990.

Left to cherish her memory are a son, Michael (Charlotte) Zaricki; a daughter Cindy (Ken) Podlaszewski; grandsons Michael (Donna) Zaricki, Matthew, Nick, and Eric Podlaszewski; great-grandsons, Dominick and Bradley Zaricki; a special niece Leona Hartman; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, Steven Zaricki; two brothers, Frank and John Betonte; and two sisters, Martha Hartman and Rosella Lytle.

Dude was kind and caring with a generous heart, quiet strength, independent attitude, and a beautiful smile that lit up a room and brightened everyone’s day.

She will be forever loved and deeply missed by all that knew her.
