Peter Thomas Vidonish

Peter Thomas Vidonish, age 73, of Canonsburg, passed away peacefully Friday, April 19, 2024, following a brief illness, in Canonsburg Hospital with his wife and daughter by his side. He was born April 4, 1951, in Masontown, a son of the late Peter T. Sr. and Mary Tesone Vidonish. Pete had been employed as a Unit Manager with the State Correctional Institution in Waynesburg, prior to his retirement, and had served with the Pennsylvania Army Reserves for many years. He has resided in Canonsburg since 2003. Mr. Vidonish considered himself a servant of his church. He was a member of the Bible Chapel in Washington, where among other things he held Celebrate Recovery on Mondays, Prison Ministry every Saturday, as well as doing security for the church. On December 11, 1993, he married his devoted wife and partner Denise Beal, who he leaves behind after 30 years of marriage. Also left behind to cherish his memory is his beloved daughter, Alexis Leigh Vidonish, of Emmaus, PA and several nieces and nephews. Peter was the last of his immediate family. Deceased, in addition to his parents are his two sisters, Mary Jo O’Neil and Michaelean Yaniga. Mr. Vidonish’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the wonderful caregivers at Canonsburg Hospital Acute Rehab Center, the doctors at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh and all the special nurses.

A Celebration of Pete’s life will take place at 5 pm Saturday, May 4, 2024, in the Bible Chapel at 34 West Wheeling St. in Washington.
